It identifies and visualizes the essential modules of complex thinking processes and allows combining them in transparent reasoning architectures of arbitrary complexity. Developed since the early 90ies it is used for supporting complex thinking, strategy development and decision making processes, both in the public and the private sector. The Eidos methodology has two main goals. The first is to improve the quality of complex thinking processes (in terms of precision, creativeness, speed, and communicability). The second function is to document complex thinking in a way that the thinking process can be interactively re-accessed and further developed. Chaque type d'approche possède ses forces et ses faiblesses. En faisant le choix de la systémique on renonce à une série d'outils d'individualisation des relations. Dans les approches de consultance, il est souvent utile d'utiliser la systémique dans un premier temps pour tenter d'appréhender le groupe professionnel dans son environnement. Par la suite le travail consistera à réduire le champ de lecture pour traiter, avec des outils plus adaptés, les améliorations nécessaires.
